Circular Mineral Processing

Engineering a More Circular Future for Mineral Processing

We integrate mineral process engineering, plant optimization and technical procurement with circularity, innovation and optimization — maximising resource potential while decoupling production from environmental impact.

“More value from every tonne of ore, every drop of water, and every unit of energy.”

Company perspective

Why Circular Economy?

Circularity in mineral processing does not begin at end-of-life recycling. It begins inside the flowsheet.

Recover More
Increase recovery from the ore and from streams traditionally lost.
Consume Less
Reduce water, energy and consumables per tonne of product.
Reuse More
Recirculate process water, materials and other resources.
Waste Less
Reduce tailings and process residues where feasible.
Recover from Waste
Extract value from tailings and historical waste deposits.
Extend Asset Value
Optimise, retrofit and upgrade to extend productive life.
Traditional way
Ore Processing Product + Tailings Disposal
Value leaves the system once. Tailings are the end of the line.

From Conventional Processing to Improved Performance

Three ways a concentrator reaches us: it needs a product it cannot currently make, it needs more out of the circuit it already runs, or it does not exist yet. The engineering is the same discipline in all three — the constraints are what differ.

Beneficiation
Concentrate production from iron and copper ores — separation, recovery and product quality against a stated specification.
Modification / Brownfield
Retrofits and upgrades inside a running plant, where the existing circuit and the shutdown window are the real constraints.
Greenfield
New concentrators taken from ore characterisation through to a defined, costed flowsheet.

Decisions Made Before Equipment Is Specified

Most of the value in a concentrator is fixed by choices made long before procurement opens. Consulting is where we test those choices against the ore, the water, the power and the economics that will actually apply.

Flowsheet evaluation
Where the circuit loses recovery, capacity and water — stage by stage, with numbers.
Technology assessment & selection
Which separation route the ore actually justifies, not the one currently in fashion.
Technical due diligence
Independent review of an asset, a study or a vendor claim before capital commits.
Feasibility support
Process input to scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies at the required level of definition.
Metallurgical assessment
Ore characterisation and testwork interpreted into design criteria a plant can be built to.
CAPEX & OPEX assessment
What each option costs to build and — more decisive — to run per tonne of product.
Technical risk assessment
The assumptions that would hurt most if wrong, ranked and given a mitigation.

An independent opinion is only useful if it can say no to the option that pays us more.

Engineering Solutions · 02

More From the Plant You Already Own

Ore grades decline, water gets scarcer and the circuit was designed for the deposit as it was understood a decade ago. Optimization closes that gap inside the existing asset, without waiting for a new plant.

Recovery improvement
More of the payable mineral out of the same feed, from the same circuit.
Capacity enhancement
Debottlenecking to lift throughput without building a second circuit.
Water consumption reduction
Less freshwater per tonne through process water recovery and recirculation.
Energy efficiency
Comminution, pumping and dewatering energy per tonne of product.
Tailings reduction & reprocessing
Less residue generated, and residual value pulled back out of what remains.
Fine particle recovery
The fraction conventional circuits send to tailings by design rather than by choice.
Equipment & circuit optimization
Duty, sizing and configuration matched to the ore as it behaves today.

Every improvement is stated as a number the plant can verify: recovery, tonnes, m³ per tonne, kWh per tonne.

Procurement Solutions

Procurement Led by the Engineers Who Specified the Duty

Equipment is bought against a process duty, not a catalogue line. The same people who assess the flowsheet write the specification, read the bids and hold the vendor to the schedule — so a procurement decision stays a technical decision from enquiry to readiness for shipment.

01 Sourcing Vendor search · RFQ 02 Evaluation Technical · Commercial 03 Award Negotiation · PO 04 Expediting Readiness for shipment
Technically led
Specifications, bid evaluations and deviation reviews are written by process and mechanical engineers, not by a buying desk.
Vendor-independent
We hold no agency or supply agreements. Recommendations follow the duty, the lifecycle cost and the schedule risk.
Scope you can audit
A single register carries every enquiry, offer, deviation and promised date from stage 01 through to shipment readiness.

Our scope culminates at readiness for shipment. International freight, shipping and customs sit outside it — stated plainly, because knowing where a scope ends is part of delivering it.

Procurement · Stages 01–03

From Enquiry to Purchase Order

01 Sourcing
Building a shortlist that can actually meet the process duty — not the longest list available.
Vendor identification and market screening
Supplier qualification and capability review
Global supplier network access
RFQ package preparation from the process spec
Enquiry issue and technical clarification
02 Evaluation
Offers compared on what they will deliver in the circuit, at what running cost.
Technical evaluation against process duty
Commercial comparison and bid tabulation
Deviation and exception review
Spares, wear-part and lifecycle cost review
Vendor coordination and query resolution
03 Award
A clean handover into manufacturing, with the schedule fixed before the first cut of steel.
Negotiation support and clarification closeout
Terms, warranty and performance-guarantee review
Purchase order placement
Vendor document register and approval route
Kick-off meeting and schedule baseline

Every award is traceable: what was asked for, what was offered, what was accepted and why.

Procurement · Stage 04

Expediting Is Where Schedules Are Held

The window between purchase order and readiness for shipment is where most equipment schedules quietly slip. We hold that window: sitting between client and vendor, reading manufacturing progress against the promised dates, and raising a recovery plan while it is still a recovery plan.

Schedule control and recovery

Vendor document follow-up
Drawings, data sheets and test records chased to approval.
Inspection and FAT coordination
Witness points scheduled, attended and reported.
Readiness for shipment — scope ends here
